The text on my screen hit me like a bowl of bricks.
Avoiding cancer from your Cheerios is one thing.
But let me tell you another.
When I was 16, I made a song about eating cereal.
Then, I shared it with hundreds of people.
I be whippin up da cereal!

Whip it up in the kitchen!
That’s how the song started. Some people loved it, too.
At the time, I thought my body’s subscription to cereal was just a lower-middle-class joke.
But cereal has more of a grip on our subconscious minds than we think.
